Progress Update: 2/19

I have been working on a scripted rig for my hedgehog.  This project working double time as my thesis, so I will be continuing working on it though using hours for my other class.  This is my only week where my sole commitment will be the hedgehog rig.

Here is what it does so far.  Still working on some issues....

2/14: Progress Update (Jiggle deformers and Butterfly Rig)

So, I've added jiggle deformers (instead of muscle deformers) to make the fox's thighs jiggle like I would like.  Here is the most generic walk cycle for example.

Left Side:

Right Side:

I also redid my butterfly rig, so here it is.
(I have a global, and one control that controls the rotation of the wings)

Also, these are my new milestones:

  •  Fox Rig Finished
  • Butterfly Rig Finished with updated geometry

2/12: Rig Update

In regards to milestones:
I allotted extra time for rig in my schedule, so I am not concerned at the moment with being behind schedule on my tasks because of my recent flu/cold.  I gave myself time to make mistakes/get behind/etc.

Fox Rig Update:
I refined the deformations of the fox's ankles.
front leg -
mesh deformation issues from incomplete muscle simulation
 back leg -

Reminder of my Style:
Styles I drew Inspiration from:

Coming up...:
-Muscle Simulation on legs for jiggle dynamics
         - reference:

         - My observations:
               - slight, very slight jiggle because foxes are light
               - more jiggle on back legs where the larger muscles are
               - slight jiggle on shoulders of front legs

My intention is an approximation so that the visuals match my vision, not an accurate anatomical diagram.  For example:
